2. Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone number, country.
- Career information: employment history, education, professional documents, salary expectations, and any materials you share for your project.
- Account & support data: messages, intake responses, revision feedback.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, basic usage analytics.
3. How we use it and our legal basis
- To provide the services you've purchased — researching your background, drafting documents, communicating with you (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To run and improve our business — analytics, fraud prevention, security (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- Marketing emails are only sent with your consent and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Flutterwave Payment Technology Solutions Limited — Flutterwave is our PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor and processes all card, bank, USSD, and mobile-money transactions on our behalf. The personal data shared with Flutterwave (name, email, phone number, billing address, payment details) is used solely to collect payment, issue receipts, prevent fraud, calculate any applicable taxes, and handle refunds or chargebacks. - Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, encrypted file storage, email delivery, and privacy-respecting analytics, all under written data-processing terms.
- Professional advisers — accountants and legal counsel where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Data retention
Project files are retained for 24 months after delivery, then permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Billing and tax records are retained as long as required by law.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and multi-factor authentication on systems holding client data.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
